May 7. Roof just before putting on the slate roofing. The metal thin is a cutter but I didn't see him working it.

This photo brings back a mountain of memories. My dad used to be a roofer, and a lot of times he would let me just sit up on the roof and watch him do his work. It was always so hot up there. I have gained a totally new respect for anyone who does this kind of work.http://www.angleridgeremodeling.com/about

I decided that I was going to get shingles on my roof. Right now I have a metal casing that is just wrapped around the roof. It was time I actually got a normal looking roof. http://www.cooperroofing.com/pages/commercial-roofing.html

The metal thing cut the slate shingles. They are like pieces of stone. This house is in Japan. They don't use asphalt shingles here so much.

What exactly would the metal thin be used to cut? Do they use it to cut the shingles, or is it used more for the plastic covering underneath? My wife and I have to replace our roof in a couple of weeks, and we are still trying to get an idea on how it's all done.http://www.us-roofing.com
