It seems like all the other trees are worshiping the one in the center

Thanks Shirley. You just have to look through the thing, wave it around, and keep an open mind - it's very hard to visualise what it will do. The E-3 viewfinder helps a lot. It tends to work best when you either try to keep things square, or tip it up and go wild - no half measures : )

Love it Bruce! It sure gives me a case of lens envy. I don't know if I could handle the 7mm as well as you have, especially in this shot.

I've taken lots of shots down the rows, which make nice avenues, but as you spotted, here I wanted to keep a more organic feel to the woods.

Curious how a group of organic elements can compose a so graphic image! And it's not due to the fact that they are regularly planted, because this is not evident at firs glance. I think the merit is all yours and of the point of view you've chosen.
The "lichen effect" you say is very evident when you look at the group of trees, especially in the left. Strange indeed.

Thanks Brent. This plantation is a nice walk from home. I'm fascinated by the way the lichen stops around five feet from the ground - muntjack deer eating it maybe?

Whoof! Nice shot Bruce. I like how the color and texture of the foreground tree is so strong - in my mind it carries to all of the other trees in the background. I get the feeling of thousands of trees - and yet you are able to see all the way back.
