The long withered grass of yesteryear lies flattened and bleached by the snow, after a long heavy winter.
But life fights its way back into the light, as two small anemones (Anemone hepatica / Hepatica nobilis) penetrates the wild-grass carpet,
and opens their starry eyes towards the light. Boy, how welcome they are... :)
