The morning after Kaya's birthday party we went to Stone Town,
the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar.
First we went to see a house on Kenyatta Street, where Freddie Mercury,
the lead singer in the rock band Queen, lived as a child.
Freddie Mercury, Stone Town's most flamboyant son,
was born there as Farok Bulsara on the 5th September 1946.
