The sky fell in and it rained a few inches and lightning crackled all over, but that did not stop anyone from having a good time. They just put on their rain gear and boots or went around in wet clothes. The food, as usual, is a big part of the Fest with Crawfish Monica, Boudin, Pralines and Pork or Oyster Po-boys being the perennial favorite. Oh, yes, at Jazz Fest one eats everything and anything because it's all good. Lionel Richie was playing on stage when the heaviest rain was coming down but no one moved away.
Jazz Fest 2010 continues through the weekend and cranks up again on Thursday through the weekend.
