Loch of Kinnordy, Angus,Scotland

This has to be one of Europe's most iconic birds.
A former rarity in Scotland these birds are now being seen with increased frequency raising hopes that they will once again breed.

Great flight shot Steve, congrats! Population in Finland has increased a lot during last 20 years. Previously it only breed on marshes but nowadays also even on the fields. At least 20 000 breeding pairs plus subadults.
