This is an interesting and very active galaxy in the constellation of Canes Venatici. Close by is NGC 4627 a dwarf elliptical companion galaxy and to the lower left the large edge on spiral galaxy NGC 4656 (discovered by Wiliam Herschel in 1787), that has been significantly distorted through interaction with its large neighbor NGC 4631.
