This flower is actually purple and white not blue - but every time I take pictures they all come out blue.

Guest - I took it at 1pm and it show up purple on my computer at work but blue on my computer at home - I think the color difference is either my eyes or my computer monitor. I am really enjoying this little camera and hope to start taking videos with it soon - I forget it has video on it.

Did you take the photo past 4 pm... if so you can get a different color with an exaggeration towards blue....In french, we call it <L'heure bleu<
I am ordering this Sony to replace my 717
TKS for sharing

I'm pretty familiar with African Violets and that is definitely purplse and white and looks very accurate to me. The best way to get the correct color in a monitor is to use a colorimeter calibration device. They're a bit pricey but they save a lot of aggravation when you want accurate color in a print. If you're seeing blue your monitor color is off. A few years ago digital cameras did very bad with purples and blues and if I wanted the correct color of a flower and I could pick an example and bring it to the computer I would do just that and then go into Photoshop and correct it.
