1st - Big Beaks

Bourton-on-the-Water, Glos. view map

We went to Bourton-on-the-Water today and visited Birdland. Lots of great photo opportunities, but my favourites were the penguins and a family of pelicans - these guys are just so brilliant!!

Don't think they were very chuffed by the rain and cold though - down to 4°C (39°F) this morning...brrrr!

Thought you'd gone somewhere exotic for your Easter holiday.
Great shot of these poor unfortunate pelicans - what a climate for them to end up inl

Nice work Doug. The place name " Birdland " could be taken the wrong way, I can just imagine the bus loads of Stag Parties turning up and being so disappointed.

That's no temperature for a Pelican, they look like they're freezing. Great shot though, and very nicely composed. You're off to a good start for April.
