These photographs are taken from a series documenting many small towns in an area of
Missouri known as the Leadbelt. The bold colors and geometries of each scene work together
with the images’ primal themes creating a portrait of small town America.

Artist Bio:

Rebecca Hughes is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Architecture. As
a photographer, she is interested in documenting her surroundings, communicating a story
behind a scene, and creating narratives series.
