My photography is contemplative. As I focus the lens, I’m also focusing the moment: stopping,
dwelling, holding, witnessing. In these nature studies, I explore the geometry, color, and
texture of common natural objects. Like Oriental brush paintings, these images are gestures
of beauty and impermanence.
Artist Bio:
Libby Falk Jones is a writer and professor of English at Berea College, Berea, KY. She
often integrates photography with writing in teaching courses such as poetry writing, nature
writing, and contemplative writing. Her poems and essays have appeared in regional and
national journals and anthologies. A chapbook of her poems, Above the Eastern Treetops, Blue,
has recently been published by Finishing Line Press.
