I am interested in exploring the fluid line that exists between literal and figurative as it pertains
to reality. In the case of dreams, they can be shattered like glass sheets, fade away into
pale reflections of themselves, or be fully realized and fulfilled.

Artist Bio:

Kit Cottrell is currently in the process of earning her Master’s degree at Eastern
Kentucky University. She is a life-long native of Kentucky and proud of her Appalachian
artistic heritage. She is particularly interested in the activist aspects of photography and the
role art can play in social change.
