Skunk Cabbage

Hines Park, Northville, MI

I took my little camera in my pocket when I walked Teddy today, just in case I saw
any Spring flowers erupting, as it was after all the first day of Spring yesterday...
There were not any actual flowers, except for one dandelion, which quite surprised me,
but then I saw some skunk cabbages, so crouched down to photograph them, while
naughty Teddy decided to dive into the muddy water and got himself so dirty that he
needed a cold hose-down when we got home!

a curious plant!I hope the name does not refer to its smell!
Ah yes, pooches like to have a bit of fun as soon as Mum or Dad's back is turned...

This looks like an alien egg opening up to show a little alien. An excellent macro capture Tricia.

A beautiful macro, Tricia. Somehow the name doesn't fit.
