On May 11, 1943, Worth Bagley was killed by Bill Keys. Bill Keys was then arrested for five years. Keys didn't get along with Worth Bagley. Bill Keys heard some shots near his cattle, when he went to investigate shots were fired at him so he got out his gun, fired, and killed Worth Bagley. When Keys was released he wanted to make a marker for Worth Bagley, on it he wrote: "Here is where Worth Bagley bit the dust at the hand of W.F.Keys, May 11 1943."
