Nice, Kitten. You have a great sense of knowing what you're looking for! Excellent illustration.

Just finding the current image for The Greek God Atlas to use for this challenge must have taken some "time". It was a good choice along with the time pieces. The program you're using has some interesting ablilties such as the grain merge. Nice job of blending Atlas into the galexy. The four pictoral elements of Atlas, the galexy, the time piece and deep space give many interpretations to your image. Very thoughtful. --skunk

Definitely a great Tarot card ... really enjoy the blending and other-wordly feel to this ~ Fay

The background space images are both from the NASA site and have CC license.
The model is from Marcus Ranum's stock

The astronomical clock came from flickr and also has a CC license.

The 'deep space' stars layer is on the bottom. The 'galaxy' layer was layered on top of the stars, then the black was set to alpha to make it invisible. The model was simply put on top of that, then his lower half was erased with a soft brush. The astronomical clock layer was set to 'grain merge' and the edges faded out.

I love this--concept and rendition. Could you give us some information about your source(s) and procedures?

Intriguing concept and timepiece. I like the merge of the figure and the celestial swirling and also that the figure is anonymous and thus mysterious.
