11/2/08 - Blue Ridge Mountain Autumn
Made near the top of a ridge in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia (you can just see sky peaking through the trees. I almost passed over this image when looking for keepers from this day outing. On second look, the textures interwoven with the colors reached out and grabbed me.
Shear rock faces with foliage growing in cracks and topped with hardwoods are a common sight here in the Shenandoah National Park.
