Day 59 - Fork Work

South Berwick, ME

(790/365)
Though it doesn't look it, I made some headway on a fork today. I was able to take care of a bunch of little things on the bike, I went so far as to get the radiator & throttle bodies back on the bike. I have to take my time to make sure I reconnect all the wiring harnesses and hoses that I disconnected about 6 weeks ago. I didn't expect to get to the forks at all. I removed the cap and pulled the spring out. I also removed the dust seal, though you can't see that in this photo. After I decided I was finished for the day, I put the old cap back on, the 'new' caps have a preload adjustment. This is the old spring by the way. The new Sonic Springs are still wrapped up and in a box at the moment.

Wonderfully conceived omage. Bits of metal manage to "glow" somehow. V
