My heart is broken. The government powers that be are setting off noise and lights to scare the birds from the rookery. The birds have been coming here for over four decades. I am so happy I got some shots this evening when the first 14 egrets arrived for the season. I thought I could outlast the man sitting in the truck with the equipment but I left at dark and he didn't. Life is not always fair.
