It took 3 days to sail to New York,On the 'United States 'liner, Harvey was sea sick a lot of the time ,This was in May 1964, There had been 9 months before of preparing for the trip, finely polishing our haircutting skills ..
..Laurance Taylor ( Our tinter)sailed on the Queen Mary liner seperately from us !!
We had sea legs when we arrived ,to a very hot NY, where a very busy week of things had been lined up,dinner s , trips,we went to the Copacobana night club too where Johney Mathis was singing. The opening party of the salon on Madison Avenue was great, people loved Christophers long Beatle type hair and his "Liverpudlian" accent .
Vidal had connected the salon with "Charles of the Ritz," ....Susan Davison nee Ng.
