This previous Southern pacifc AC4400CW GE locomotive may not look like much of a rocket sled. But as the crew does a final walk around before take off, On it's trip up to Ivanpah to get a west bound back on the move after loosing an engine and the slow speed allowed the grain train crew to DOL or run out of time 12 hrs to get to the next crew change point Yermo. Once out of the Valley this one locomtive will run at 70 mph since as single power it has the same speed limit as a passenger train within 90 minutes this engine will be the leader and take the Grain train to Yermo. Not bad for a 15 yr old engine.
