K3EL radio shack, Kennett Square, PA, 2000

A later incarnation of K3EL in Kennett Square. Almost all of the equipment has changed, the desk is nicer and there are qsl cards to fill the wall!

Above: Vintage Hallicrafters S-38 and a Kenwood dual-bander for VHF/UHF FM
Below: Heathkit SB-200 linear amplifier, Palstar manual tuner, Icom IC-746 hf/vhf transceiver. Bencher paddle and h/b keyer are still the same as before!

Antenna for hf: two Vee beams, about 250 feet each leg, direction switchable from the shack - best antenna I ever had for 40 m and up! This is reflected in the collection of qsl cards on the wall, some more exotic locations are represented, e.g. ZA1MH from Albania or FO0MAC from the Austral Islands. Little did I know when I made the FO/A QSO in 1998, that one day I'd be operating from there, too, as TX5RV.
