lone wolf -ArtP
by ArtP

Didn't take many pix yesterday, as I was searching for a lost dog, but I did snap this shot of a wolf cutout. Designed to scare geese? can't tell at this resolution, but there's a lot of geese at the edge of the field

Olympus E-520 ,Olympus Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6
1/200s f/9.0 at 42.0mm iso100

Wolf cutout ? Never heard of those before. But i think Pinky could have done a great job as one.
Nice Find !

I would have been fooled if you had not made a comment that the wolf was a cut out Art!
Like this one a lot, pity there wasn't a full moon!:)

I'm with Brenda: The huge space gives a strong sense of scale. I wouldn't crop it if it were mine. What I *would* do is put is hook up a motion detector to recording of a howl - just in case a goose got brave. :-)

I suppose there's more than one way to scare a goose! Or cook it, depending.

I like the sense of huge open space here. It really works well to suggest isolation.

Well, if the field is used for athletics, goose poop isn't the most desireable ground cover. btw, I'm thinking of cropping to just right of the notch in the trees and at the white cloud band... any thoughts?

I see the geese! Now I wonder, why don't they want the geese on the field? They make excellent mulchers LOL In one end and out the other! I can see why that cut out works. I am surprised they don't catch on in a hurry and go hang around the dogs/wolf's feet. HA! I really like this photo Art. I think it works great for the theme too. Oh, I hope you found the dog?
