I would take lots and lots of pictures of this area, before one knows it has been demolished

Great industrial scene and glad to hear they are keeping the building around. The leading tracks are nice to the eye!

Paul's got it! That would make a grand set of photos, Lynn!

love these industrial environments...

Old style water tower & tank "towers" above this railroad spur. The "old" Imperial Sugar Refinery here in Savannah blew up violently two years ago, killing and maiming a number of the workers there.

It does have a deserted feel to it, hopefully something good will be there once!

I'm fascinated by abandoned industrial buildings. Great capture!

I think there is one in Baltimore. I love these old buildings and the railroad yards. That water tower is a nice touch too. Excellent composition, girl! Good job!

Nice monochrome.

Pauls' idea is a very good one. You could document the changes as they happen.
I love the name Sugar Land, now I know why it is called that.

Awesome perspective here.

Document the historical closing and reclamation as much as you can.
I live in what was once a Steel town, and it's amazing how few pictures there are.
The monochrome certainly sets the tone on this one
Stewart Mitchell26-Jan-2010 19:28
...the end of the line!! The tracks lead you straight to the tower :)
Ronald Bijtenhoorn26-Jan-2010 18:52
