This was really scary. When Carlos cut back the vine on the old fence, this cement footing showed up. Someone before I owned the house apparently cut the old support off the footing and patched it. Not good for a roof support.

The bare wood is a temporary 4x4 that's holding up the roof now. The old one is on the left. 6x6's will be used in the permanent supports. They were supposed to go in Saturday, but their cement footing wasn't dry enough. Hopefully that will happen today.
