There is a little story on how I got this wind turbine shot, but I was someplace the signs said I should not have been, so I'll keep quiet for the time being. I took a series of them and when I got home noticed, as I was so concerned about getting to the turbine field, I left my camera on ISO 1600. With the lens I had with me and the light of the day , it was certainly the incorrect ISO setting for this (and the other shots) I took while sneaking around these huge turbines. They are close to 300 feet tall, cost 2.5 million a piece. They dwarf the forest trees behind them. They make a solid whoof, whoof, whoofing noise as they turn through the wind.

Canon EOS 50D
1/8000s f/11.0 at 28.0mm iso1600 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

LOL Don, couldn't you just kick yourself when you do things like this? :-) Still a nice shot. They are all over the landscape not far from me now, they sure are huge.
