After our whale cruise from Port Townsend, my wife & I bought Subway sandwitches in Port Angeles and drove up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park for a late lunch / early dinner. Just beyond the visitor center, there is a picnic area. As we sat down at a table, this deer wandered up and then (next photo) layed down under a tree about 10-15 feet from us.
