At Laguna beach the sand slopes quickly to the water. This causes the waves to break steeply right at the shoreline.... perfect for skimboarding.

The guys get a 25 foot running start down a 30 degree drop. Then they throw their boards down and ride straight into 4 foot breaking waves.
