Clouds over Mount Moran at the Oxbow Bend of the Snake River. Mount Moran is 12,605 feet high and named for the painter Thomas Moran who was part of the 1870 Washburn expedition.
Moran's paintings helped convince congress to create the world's first national park in Yellowstone.
