Nuthatch taken at Pinery Provincial Park with the D3s on 1.2 crop mode with the Nikon 200-400 and a 1.4 TC. Also used the Gary Fong Collapsable Lightsphere on a Nikon SB-900 with a RRS flash bracket and off-shoe cord. ISO was 1250 and I had to crop in quite a bit for this image, the 500mm VR sure would be a nice addition. :)
