Low tide...and did you say clams!!

Southern Vancouver Island

Clam digging is not just a popular activity; it is a passion for some. Their adrenalin
starts running with thoughts of their super-secret clam hole, where they get only the
best and juiciest clams around. Rain or shine, day or night, give them a low tide and
they get their boots, don their raingear, grab their buckets and clam gun and head out
the door on their hunt for the elusive filter-feeding bivalves. Despite the miserable
weather this lone digger continued on his hunt down the beach….sustained by thoughts
of a warm meal of juicy clams at the end of the day. (see 'How to dig a clam' below)

Never heard of a clam gun! It has been years since I have eaten steamed clams with lots of butter. Mmmmmmm... it would taste good right now! Nice shot of this clammer...

I think most men get excited when it comes to any kind of hunting - must go back to primeval times! Even planespotters and trainspotters get excited hunting down those numbers!

learning something every day from you two! great image very telling. I would pushed up the ISO to your max (3200?) to increase the shutter speed, would have resulted in a sharper image, as it looks a little blurry. Just to add,
