Las Vegas from 38,000', whilst enroute from New York to Los Angeles. This was an experiment of the low light capability of the Nikon D3. Sensitivity setting is ISO 4000. Yes, four THOUSAND! Pretty remarkable picture for its lack of noise in the dark tones. A slight Lightroom curve adjustment was made to the darkest tones to remove a slight "clouding" effect, followed by slight Noise Ninja'ing in Photoshop. The result is very clean, and still sharp since at ISO 4000 I could use 1/60th shutter speed! Note the dark "L"-shape of the airport, right up close to the bright lights of central Las Vegas.
