Where I stand it's -19ºC (-2ºF), but the temperature varies with height, making the air very unstable,
as it's comprised of constantly changing/floating/inverted air layers of different temperatures.
This causes heavy mirage distortions to both the moon and the distant landscape.
Here it's even further enhanced by the long telephoto perspective, actually making a sharp image difficult to achieve at all,
as the vista is captured through several kilometers of unstable and shivering air masses.
Hence not technically the best picture ever, but the mood sort of justifies it nonetheless... :)
