After almost three weeks of being indoors the weather and my free time finally cooperated enough to allow me time to get out on the winter trails in reasonably mild sunny conditions. Although I encountered nothing out of the ordinary I thoroughly enjoyed my quiet morning with the common faces of our winter forests like this Eastern Gray Squirrel and a few friendly nuthatches and chickadees. This photo set a record for me. Normally the color temperature of my photos is between 4600k and 5450k. This one needed 9400k to look right! I have never set a color temperature that high before. 9400k is over 2000k higher than my previous record!
