Afon Prysor a Pandy 1

Trawsfynydd, North Wales

Funny how things work, changed this into sepia and suddenly memories came flooding back to a time when the old fulling mill was still intact. An old woman lived there on her own, her name was Annie, never knew her surname, we all called her Annie "Ffatri" (after the fulling mill) she wore an old thread bare mackintosh tied about her middle with string and walked daily to the village to do her shopping - I think her father was the miller in times gone by. This is where I learned to swim as a kid in the mid '60s, it was a great place for a dip in those long gone carefree summer days. I remember ancient stepping stones here too, washed away now after the massive flood we had in 2001 (I think!).

Just fantastic, Keith. Love the narrative. Love the music, but it is so sad... One of your best watershots so far. BV

A very nice shot Keith, well suited to the sepia toning. The personal memories make it all the more interesting. V.

Interesting personal story! It looks like a place in a perfect spot. You could move in there, after some refurbishments ;-). v.

Sepia really suits this and ties in very well with your recalling times gone bye.
Excellent composition. V
