These kiosks are seen every block or two in the Parliament area of Rome where our hotel is located.
This is because of the large numbers of diplomats and dignitaries who frequent the area.
It also makes foreign tourists like us comfortable as we walk the area, especially in the evenings after dinner.
Here two police are taking a break , but still on duty outside of their box which is manned in shifts 24 hours a day.
