On to Event #3 of the NHRA Full Throttle Tour, the always enjoyable Mac Tools Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. I enjoy Gainesville very much, not only for the racing and history, but also because one of my favorite musicians, Tom Petty, is from Gainesville.

Anyhow, I snapped this photo which didn't develop meaning until later in the year, after Del Cox clinched the 2009 IHRA Top Fuel Championship, which allowed me to caption this photo as:

"Mitch King, Spencer Massey and Del Cox Jr, enjoying some laughs together in Gainesville. Massey and Cox wheeled King's Top Fuel Dragster to back to back IHRA Top Fuel Championships in 2008 and 2009, the two most successful outings in King's history as an owner/driver."
