CIRCULAR AND RECTANGULAR

Dallas, TX

Circular, yes if you look at it from a different perspective but rectangular looking at this angle. Caught this guy with his big ol' honking lens, shot with my big ol' honkin' lens. He was looking for a Falcon he saw, very rare in our area. I looked too but didn't see it. We compared images and talked for a while. Nothing like talking to another photographer using the same equipment as you. However, I have a battery pack on my camera so that was the only difference.

Completely straight out of the camera. No nothing done to this image...hehe!

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
1/800s f/11.0 at 400.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Nice catch, Cindi ... I'm amazed he's gonna do some hand-held photos with that "big ol' honkin'lens" ...

There's even a hint at a triangle in the hood :o) It's always good not to have lens-envy when out shooting!!

Cool capture Cindi. I ask this same question to every Canon shooter I run into. Does carrying around the extra weight of the verticle grip (battery pack) out weigh the 5 to 10 seconds it takes to change a battery? I have always bought the grip as a part of my purchase with all of my Canons, even my newest the 5D. Just as fast, I found myself taking them off as I would still use the shutter button on the camera and didn't need to lug around the extra weight and bulk.
