Another lengthy and seminally important geetar-based tune...maybe I'm actually an ageing hippy rocker after all! I must be, my kids tell me I am, and today's post just proves it :o))
A simple set-up here: tumbler full of water, camera pre-focused at the middle of the glass, off-camera flash positioned a bit behind and to the left. I set camera on 2 second self-timer, stirred the water with a long spoon until desired 'plug-hole' shape had formed, and pressed shutter, extracting the spoon just before the shutter fired. Not much post work needed - a bit of Levels and Curves, and I got rid of a few smudges with the Clone and Patch tools. The warm golden-brown colour is ambient light from the flash reflecting off the table-top

Great idea, Doug ! The result is an intriguing abstract triangle in the water !
And, as I'm too an ageing hippy rocker, I know next will be "Smoke in the Water"...!
