Each Fall, Polar Bear congregate near Churchill, Manitoba (as far North as any road goes) while they wait for the Bay to freeze solid. After that, they can go out on the ice to hunt Ring Seals during the arctic winter. For 6 weeks each year, the Tundra Lodge (best described as railroad cars on giant wheels) is moved out to a location near the Hudson Bay. The area selected is one that dense with Polar Bears.
This was my Home-Away-From-Home for a week. Four Tundra Rovers, a Supply Rover, and a truck are also in the photo.
