Teddy was running around in the garden this afternoon but when he came in for a drink of water,
I was shocked to see that he was leaving bloody footprints all over the floor.....
I bravely checked out his foot, (I am very squeamish about blood...) and washed it in salted water, only to realise that he seemed to have broken off one of his claws
so I wrapped his foot in a small towel to stop the blood and drove him to the vet, who confirmed that his claw has gone completely,
it may grow back, we don't know, but the vet bandaged it up and put a plastic bag over it so it would not get wet on the way
home. He has to go back on Saturday to have his bandage changed and the wound checked and has
anti-biotics for two weeks as we do not want the wound to get infected. He does look rather sorry
for himself in this photo and will be even more sad when he notices that he cannot go for our usual long walkies for a while....
