An other first for me. About a week ago I drove an hour out of town to where a huge flock of migrating Snow Geese had reportedly been seen some days earlier. I found the flock (probably a different one); however, I wasn't able to get close enough for a shot. There were literally thousands of Snow Geese far away on private lands.
Two days ago, this one Snow Goose came for a visit on The Ottawa River in the company of hundreds of Canada Geese which were gathering for their migration South. The Snow Goose stayed only a short while, but long enough for me to go home, get my 500 mm lens and take some shots. Sometimes, one just gets lucky.
