Wing Lee's

Clement district, San Francisco, CA

Nearly everyone has heard of San Francisco's China Town. Many fewer know that there is a second Chinatown on the West side of the city, on Clement. Here, you will find Chinese people, vegetable markets, housewares and restaurants, but no tourists and no high prices. Wing Lee is actually two shops, side by side. On the corner is what you see -- take out with a few tables inside, and lots of roast ducks and pork hanging in the window. Affordable, and VERY tasty. Next door, is a Chinese bakery, with pot stickers, black bean cakes, steamed and baked buns, sticky rice balls and other dim sum.

This was shot after sunset, and I am reasonably pleased with the results. Note that the ducks are Chinese fast food. Chop into chunks and eat. Francis, if you are still reading, you would like this place.
