It's all I could think of when Margaret called me at work to say a package had arrived from
Calumet Photo. Huh? A package? All I bought was a snoot for my speedlight, and that's sitting
at home. I had originally gone down to trade in some lenses on an upgrade, but nobody was there
to appraise used gear that day. What the hell is in the package? How big is it? "Oh it's pretty
big, not too heavy." Huh?


OOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! The RAFFLE!!! I totally forgot they had a drop box on the way out where you
could drop your postcard for the 40th anniversary event, and it would be in a drawing for some
gear. I actually had my postcard. Most people were using the entry form slips of paper.
I wonder if bringing the card helped me win?


It's a Tamrac 3385 camera/laptop backpack. Very nice bag. $120 retail. Quite a bit bigger than
my last backpack. Which I hardly ever use because it won't hold an slr body with a vertical
grip installed.


So thank you so much, Calumet! I was a little disappointed that you weren't able to deal a lens
for me, but I'll be back!
