If it's slow enough to get a picture of it's a millipede. Centipedes are an order of magnitude faster on their feet and almost necer slow down in the open..

What an excellent photo, Judith. Including your (?) finger conveys the sense of scale wonderfully. And the lighting on the millipede makes every hair stand out sharply. Exposure is perfect and colors are great. I really like it, even though it might not be my favorite subject. LOL

I think I would have to say milipede. I had what I think was a centipede in my house. It looked a lot different than that one. Nice clear closeup shot. It's making me itch already.
