The wooded grounds are bird-rich & extend down to the edge of the Kandalama tank. The Kandalama tank holds a great range of waterbirds including Grey-headed & White-bellied Fish Eagles, Brahminy Kite, Openbill & Painted Storks, Spot-billed Pelicans, Asian Darters and various herons & egrets.
