The presidential quarters (Brown House) at Camp Hoover (aka Camp Rapidan) in Shenandoah National Park (SNP) - as viewed through a window in the Prime Minister's cabin. No longer a presidential retreat - the nearest equivalent today is Camp David. Camp Hoover is nestled along the Rapidan River in SNP.
This image is an HDR composite of 4 separate exposures (+1, 0, -1 & -2 EV) shot at f/22 with my new Tokina 2.8 16-50 lens. At full resolution (not this tiny web version) everything is tack sharp from the mesh of the window screen to the shingles on the Brown House. Prior to HDR when I made one of these through the window (dark interior, bright exterior) shots the results were no where near as good. I like HDR when it can be used to produce a "natural" looking result like this as opposed to the stereotypical "cartoon-like" images some pros advocate.
