Tonight was clear and cold, so I took several pictures of the moon using the 300 F2.8 IS lens
and a 2.0x teleconverter. You can see some heat waves making the limb of the moon a bit wavy -- that
can be cleaned up by stacking images, at the expense of some sharpness. The image is a 100% crop
(no resizing, just cropped to 800x800 pixels).
The image has been contrast enhanced and sharpened slightly.
