Gannet And Chick--Two Images

These images are connected by the information below:

In the top image the gannet appears to be sitting on a white object. The bottom image reveals that the gannet was sitting on
its chick. There was an eagle perched on a nearby cliff, and we were told that it had been attempting to pick
off gannet chicks. This gannet may have been trying to protect its chick by sitting on it.
