Interesting amphibian species of all sizes ~ Brenda

This is a spring peeper, about an inch long. He was blown against my patio door in a gale - several months out of season. I paced him on a hosta and he quickly recovered from his ordeal.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Aren't there frogs in Hawaii Katherine? Or do his brown colors give him away as an alien froggie? I'm just surprised to see one of these little guys so late in the year, did you have a late warm spell Brenda? I think he's very cute, I like those frog toes! Well now you know, little froggie will have to manage without you while you're in Hawaii looking at flowers and other critters. :o)

eewwww... when you come, he'll have to stay behind :0 we stamp out non indiginous species like him. In fact, there's a hot line to call if one is seen and the 'frog squad' comes out to your house to capture him.... true!
