To demonstrate the difference between roses with lots of petals and those which are simple. I had intended to compare a dog or briar rose with a modern hybrid tea, but the dog roses have finished and the briar haven't opened yet...and its too dangerous (snakes) to get a photo of my simple Scots rose, so I've compared this rose with a simple single but modern version.
